The minute you meet Professor Lisa Newbore you know she has a heart for communications. She loves to talk about talking and make connections. She has been teaching Communication courses for many years and found her home at Multnomah teaching Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication and Business Ethics. In addition, Professor Newbore has a passion for operations and serves in the President’s office as MU’s Director of Presidential Academic Operations.
Born in El Salvador and raised in Puerto Rico and Miami, Professor Newbore’s upbringing instilled a deep love for God, a strong sense of community and a passion for giving back. Whether it’s through volunteer work, supporting others or sharing the joy of Jesus, she has a curiosity and zest for life. At the top of her list is spending time with her husband and three girls while enjoying the outdoors, skiing, traveling, or hosting events at their house. In addition, she loves diving and exploring the depths of the ocean.
